ABOUT

Alice is a multidisciplinary artist from South East London.

She operates both as an independent designer specialising in illustration and collaboratively with various agencies, working as a motion and graphic designer. Alice has over 7 years experience in the creative industries and prides herself on being multidisciplinary.

Independently, she operates under the creative alias 'Alice And The Ink' and tailors her professional work around her interests in music, fashion, and culture, which have significantly influenced her signature bold, vibrant visual identity.

Her work transcends multiple mediums, as she is both a digital and traditional artist, with experience in creating murals, typography, 3D art, garments, GIFs, stickers, title sequences, live customisations, window designs, editorial pieces, brand activations, and more. Her work has been championed by the likes of Creative Boom, been showcased at 180 Studios in London, and attracted collaborations with notable brands such as Nando's, The Guardian, BBC, and E4.

Alice's journey to becoming an illustrator is far from conventional. Despite studying an Art Foundation course after leaving school, she instead pursued a mathematics degree at the University of Manchester. Following graduating with First Class Hons, Alice worked as a 3D technical VFX artist at Framestore. However, in the summer of 2020, she was made redundant, which prompted her to take the plunge into full-time freelancing. Fortunately, she hasn't looked back since. Now, Alice actively uses her growing platform to inspire individuals from non-traditional arts backgrounds. She has served as an industry mentor at UAL, delivered talks at schools, and shared her mostly self-taught creative journey on Voices Radio.

Looking ahead, Alice's ambition is to collaborate with fashion and streetwear brands, have her work featured on an international scale, and create art with a focus on social, environmental, or ethical causes.
