Alice Roseberry - Haynes is a London based freelance multidisciplinary creative who specialises in illustration, motion + design.
Primarily operating as an independent artist under the alias Alice And The Ink, Alice works predominantly across commercial, experiential and editorial illustration + animation. Notable clients include Transport For London, Smiley, New Balance and The Guardian, with her work been championed by the likes of Creative Boom and showcased at 180 Studios. Alice tailors her professional work around her interests in music, fashion, and culture, which have significantly influenced her signature bold, vibrant visual identity. Her work transcends multiple mediums, as she is both a digital and traditional artist with experience creating with pens, paints, material and even ceramics.
Outside of Alice’s illustration work she collaborates with various agencies, working as a motion and graphic designer. Alice has over 7 years experience in the creative industries and prides herself on being multidisciplinary. Her motion graphic, art direction, and design skills have contributed to award-winning studio projects for top-tier clients such as Apple, Nike and Squarespace.
Alice's journey to becoming an illustrator is far from conventional. Despite studying an Art Foundation course after leaving school, she instead pursued a mathematics degree at the University of Manchester. Following graduating with First Class Hons, Alice worked as a 3D technical VFX artist at Framestore. However, in the summer of 2020, she was made redundant, which prompted her to take the plunge into full-time freelancing. Fortunately, she hasn't looked back since. Now, Alice actively uses her growing platform to inspire individuals from non-traditional arts backgrounds. She has served as an industry mentor at UAL, delivered talks at schools, and shared her mostly self-taught creative journey on Voices Radio.
Looking ahead, Alice's ambition is to collaborate with fashion and streetwear brands, have her work featured on an international scale, and create art with a focus on social, environmental, or ethical causes.
